# Understanding Analytics

### **Understanding Analytics in Promo Party Pro**

Promo Party Pro gives you real-time data on how your free gift campaigns are performing. This article walks through the analytics available on the main dashboard and inside each individual campaign.

### **The Main Dashboard**

When you open Promo Party Pro, the top of the page shows a performance summary across all active campaigns.

You will see three key metrics at the top. Use the period menu to switch between the **Last 7 days**, **Last 30 days** (the default), and **Last 90 days**. Each metric also shows the change from the previous period.

Gift adds is the total number of times a free gift was added to a customer’s cart across all campaigns. You can hover over the dotted underline beneath “Gift adds” to see this definition inside the app.

Add-to-cart rate shows the share of eligible shoppers (their cart met a campaign's trigger) who added the free gift.

Avg. cart value shows the average cart value while shoppers were eligible for a gift, across all campaigns.

Below the summary stats, the Active Campaigns table lists each campaign currently running. This includes the campaign title, start date, end date, cart threshold, and the free gift product attached to the campaign.

To view more detailed analytics for one campaign, click the campaign title.

### **Campaign-Level Analytics**

Clicking into a specific campaign brings up a detailed analytics view for that campaign only.

At the top of the page, you will see the same three metrics shown on the main dashboard. On this page, Gift adds, Add-to-cart rate, and Avg. cart value are filtered to the campaign you are viewing.

Below the summary stats, the Gift mix by variant table shows which product variants customers chose as their free gift. For each variant, you can see the number of times it was selected and its share of total gift selections for that campaign.

The table appears when a campaign offers more than one gift option. That includes one product with several variants (colors, sizes, flavors, styles) and campaigns that offer several different gift products. Each gift option gets its own row, so you can see which products customers pick most often, not just which variants. It can help you understand which variants customers are choosing most often, so you can make better decisions about inventory, future gift offers, and campaign setup.

By default, the Gift mix by variant table reflects the last 30 days of data. If you need access to a longer history, contact support to discuss upgrade options.

**Trigger mix**

For campaigns triggered by **Specific product is in the cart**, a **Trigger mix (product presence)** table shows which trigger variants were in the cart when shoppers qualified.

**The Analytics page**

You can also open **Analytics** from the left sidebar in Promo Party Pro. Use the **Campaign** picker at the top to switch between campaigns. If a campaign has no data yet, the page shows a short checklist: the theme app extension is enabled, the campaign is active and in its date window, and someone has met the trigger on your storefront.

How each metric is counted:

* **Gift adds**: times the free gift was added to the cart through the offer, including automatic adds when the pop-up is off.
* **Add-to-cart rate**: of the times shoppers became eligible (their cart met your trigger), the share who added the free gift.
* **Avg. cart value**: the average cart subtotal while shoppers were eligible. Free gift lines are left out.

**Navigating Between Views**

From the campaign-level analytics page, you can use the buttons in the upper right corner to return to the main dashboard or go back to the full campaigns list.

### **Tips for Reading Your Analytics**

If Gift adds shows zero or a very low number, check that your campaign trigger threshold is set correctly. You should also make sure the free gift product is active, available, and in stock in your Shopify store.

If the Add-to-cart rate is lower than expected, customers may see the offer but not choose the gift. This may indicate that the gift product, threshold amount, or campaign messaging needs to be adjusted.

If Avg. cart value is strong, your free gift campaign may be helping customers build higher-value carts. This is especially useful when your campaign is tied to a cart threshold, such as “Spend $100 and get a free gift.”

If one gift variant is selected much more often than the others, you may want to feature it more prominently, restock it sooner, or use that insight when planning your next gift campaign.

### **What to Use This Data For**

Your analytics can help you understand whether your gift offer is getting attention, whether customers are choosing the gift, and which gift variants are most appealing. Over time, this can help you test different thresholds, compare gift products, and build campaigns that are better aligned with how customers actually shop.
